Coffee & Croissants with Bruce Whitfield

The IOB, BANKSETA and Milpark Business School will be running a series of breakfast information sharing sessions for the banking sector, called Coffee & Croissants with Bruce Whitfield. These sessions will mostly follow the format of panel discussions, lead by Bruce.

The first event is the 26th of August and the theme is “Green Shoots or Weeds?” For much of 2009 thus far, the term ‘green shoots' has been bandied around. The question is: has this term been designed by over optimistic market watchers, and should we not rather consider an alternative opinion that the recovery from this Global Economic meltdown will take longer than anticipated, and the first sightings of green are in fact weeds? The compilation of the panel will be published on the IOB website.
