On 26 October 2022, the IOBSA hosted their first post Covid Stakeholder event at the Maslow Hotel in Sandton. The keynote speaker was the Honorable Mr Kuben Naidoo, Deputy Governor of the SARB and the first CEO of the Prudential Authority since its inception.
Mr Naidoo addressed the topic of the South African economy (post pandemic) and the strength of the banking system and gave the audience deep insights to how the banks have fared since Covid. Those in attendance were senior executives of the various SA banks, BASA, Bankseta, Higher Education institutions and Fellows of the IOBSA. Attendees had the opportunity to pose questions and to network after the speeches.
We intend to host many more such events going forward to properly fulfil our role in building Professional Capacity for the Banking industry.
