We are pleased to advise members that for the first time we will have Keynote Speaker at the AGM.

The AGM will be held on the 16th August 2018 at 17h00 for 17h30 at the Wanderers Club, North Road, Illovo.
Our Keynote Speaker will be Deputy Governor Kuben Naidoo of the South African Reserve Bank.

Kuben Naidoo is the Deputy Governor & CEO: Prudential Authority at SARB.

He brings a wealth of experience and insight into the new changes which have been brought about by the Twin Peaks legislation which sees two regulators for the Financial Services Sector. These are the Prudential Authority which is the responsibility of the SARB and of which he is the CEO and the Financial Sector Conduct Authority which was previously the FSB which is responsible for monitoring, amongst other roles, FAIS compliance.

The Institute is pleased to be able to offer members the opportunity of hearing first hand from the Deputy Governor about the changes which are impacting the sector. The AGM is open to all members and it is also the occasion where we award designation certificates to successful applicants. We will, in addition, be making several honorary Fellowship awards to senior bankers.

The CEO will be reporting on the activities of the IOBSA over the past 12 months. Members will receive the notification of the AGM in July and during the course of June we will also be seeking nominations for Director appointments which will be voted on at the
meeting.
